Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP The Mount, a category C training prison built on the site of a former RAF station on the outskirts of Bovingdon village, Hertfordshire. In this role you''ll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.Hours: Weekdays 07:45 – 16:45 and 07:45 – 18:30; Weekends 08:30 – 18:00. There is an expectation to work 1 weekend in 4.ResponsibilitiesBe an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care.

Undertake a wide variety of tasks including screening, assessments, examinations, and tests, as well as answering emergency calls and potentially being the first responder to emergencies.

Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting colleagues to perform well.

Qualifications and RequirementsNMC Registered Nurse – Adult

Evidence of Continued Professional Development

Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

Ability to work within a busy environment

Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures

Enhanced Clinical Practitioner L6 or L7

Advanced Clinical Practitioner L7 (including NMP)

Experience
