Press Brake Operator

We are currently recruiting for a company in the Burnley area who are looking for a Press Brake Operator. In this role you will operate a variety of manual and automated machinery.  The role involves producing high quality metal materials to meet production and quality targets.

Duties and responsibilities

• Experience of setting and using Amada HFT and HFE Press Brakes for production according to specifications provided.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Setting and operating machines to ensure accurate and precise bending and forming of metal components using various materials.
• Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Using appropriate tools, dies, and fixtures to produce the work.
• Material Handling including loading and unloading sheet materials into the machine.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure its optimal performance.
• Work as part of a Team with team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Identifying and reporting any defects to deviations from specifications.
• Following all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Experience required

• Experienced in operating Amada press brake machines.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools and equipment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to accurately measure and evaluate the dimensions of metal. components.
• Prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required to cover workloads and deadlines

• Monday – Thursday working 4 days 6.30am to 5pm
