Pre-Construction Estimator

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Estimator to manage the tender and preconstruction process from initial enquiry through to project award and handover.The role requires strong commercial and technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate estimating, design, programming, procurement and contractual requirements.Key Responsibilities: Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, award and handover. Review drawings, specifications and tender documents, producing accurate take-offs, estimates, budgets and pricing schedules. Prepare scopes of works and manage subcontractor enquiries, quotations, clarifications and tender comparisons. Assess buildability, construction methodology, sequencing, risks and opportunities, working closely with design and project teams. Prepare and maintain tender and preconstruction programmes, monitoring costs, procurement and key milestones. Lead subcontractor and supplier procurement and support contract negotiations and administration, including JCT documentation. Attend client, consultant and subcontractor meetings and support tender presentations where required. Provide a comprehensive handover to the delivery team, ensuring all commercial, contractual, design, programme and procurement information is transferred effectively.
