Practice Accountant

Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking for a varied role with a growing and well-established accountancy practice?

We''re recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Senior to join a friendly and professional team near Stroud. You''ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients, prepare accounts and tax returns, provide business advice, and support the development of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients
• Preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
• Completing tax computations and liaising with HMRC
• Supporting VAT and compliance work
• Building strong client relationships and providing advisory support
• Mentoring and reviewing work completed by junior team members
• Working with cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks

About You

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• AAT, ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
• Experience with Digita, Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous
