Practice Accountant

A well-established and growing accountancy practice near Crawley is looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to join their friendly team. The position can be considered on either a full-time or part-time basis and offers the opportunity to work closely with a varied portfolio of SME clients. Working within a supportive practice environment, you''ll be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns, while building strong client relationships and providing day-to-day financial advice. Key Responsibilities:Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesPreparing and reviewing management accountsPreparing corporation tax returns and computationsPreparing self-assessment tax returnsReviewing bookkeeping and VAT returnsLiaising with HMRC on behalf of clientsProviding financial advice and business insightsSupporting clients with accounting software and best practiceBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships Requirements:Previous experience working within an accountancy practiceExperience preparing statutory accounts and tax returnsKnowledge of corporation tax, self-assessment and VATExperience using Xero and/or SageAAT, ACA, ACCA qualified, studier or qualified by experienceStrong communication and organisational skillsProactive approach and excellent attention to detail What''s on Offer:Competitive salaryMatched pension contribution28 days holiday including bank holidays (pro rata)On-site ..... full job details .....
