Plant operator

we are recruiting for a Plant operator for our Wolverhampton based client who are a metals recycling company who specialise in the recovery of non-ferrous metal. After a successful trial period you will get the opportunity to be a permanent member and progress with the company.

Role of Plant operator

• Operate a B1 counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload metal materials
• Assist with sorting and processing scrap metal around the plant
• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders to complete daily tasks
• Carry out basic equipment checks before use
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Ensure materials are placed in the correct locations
• Follow all site health and safety procedures at all times
• Report any faults, damages, or safety concerns to management
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
• Support general site operations as needed (e.g. manual handling, tidying, basic maintenance)

Details of Plant operator

• Working hours: 05:30am- 17:30pm(4 on 4 off)
• Pay rate: Starting at -12.85ph
• 12 hour shifts- 4 on 4 off
• Overtime available and paid at a premium
• Duration: Temp to Perm
