Picker Packer (Chiller)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking-Picker Packer-to join our client''s food distribution warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing chilled food products for dispatch while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and pack chilled food products according to order sheets or scanning systems
• Ensure all items are correctly labelled, weighed, and packed to company standards
• Operate pallet trucks or trolleys safely within the warehouse environment
• Work efficiently to meet daily targets and deadlines
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards within the chiller area
• Follow all warehouse health & safety policies and procedures
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory checks
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Report any damaged, missing, or out-of-date stock

Requirements

• Previous experience in a-warehouse, food production, or cold storage environment-preferred
• Comfortable working in-chilled temperatures (0-C to +5-C)
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Physically fit and able to lift and move products safely (heavy lifting involved)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Able to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision

Desirable Skills

• Experience with-handheld scanners-or-warehouse management systems
• Valid-manual handling-or-food safety certification

Salary & Terms

• Monday to Friday
• 8am to 5pm
• -14.80 per hour
• Safety boots required
