Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer role at MT Consulting Group. You will be part of a large multi-disciplinary team and should be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and committed to continuous professional development.This is a full-time post requiring participation in the weekend and bank holiday rota.Responsibilities
Provide a comprehensive, efficient and safe pharmacy service to patients within the Trust as part of a team of specialist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.Help manage stock, provide ward top-up service (including replenishment of Omnicell cabinets), label and dispense, and maintain cleanliness and tidiness.Complete HEE Medicines Optimisation course modules for checking Patients Own Drugs and transcribing medicines for inpatient use.Assist in dispensing, preparation and delivery of medications and parenteral nutrition for inpatients and outpatients with intestinal failure.Assist in dispensing medicines to inpatients and outpatients, wards and departments, and support workflow (including assisting in the use of the robot where applicable).Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), MHRA, and Whole Seller Dealer License (WDL).Handle non-clinical enquiries from patients and healthcare staff and refer clinical or complex issues to appropriate staff as required.Oversee good housekeeping in appropriate rotations by keeping benches and baskets clear of drugs no longer required.Check expiry dates and rotate stock; unpack deliveries and store drugs, reporting discrepancies according to SOPs.Qualifications and Requirements
Good GCSEs or equivalent and an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services, or working towards completing NVQ level 2.Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team.Be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, and committed to continuous professional development.Full-time availability with weekend and bank holiday rota participation.About the Employer
