Pharmacy Assistant Aseptic Services

OverviewWe are looking for a committed and hardworking Pharmacy aseptic compounding assistant to work in our aseptic unit. You will join a fantastic team making a real difference to people’s lives. Our busy units make chemotherapy and other aseptic products to support patients across North West London and beyond. Through our support for numerous clinical trials, we are at the cutting edge of developing treatments for the future. The post is cross site and will be based at Hammersmith or Charing Cross site; you will organise and participate in the preparation of chemotherapy, clinical trials and parenteral nutrition for adults.

Responsibilities

To assist in the provision of a high quality aseptic pharmaceutical dispensing service to all users of the service

The unsupervised compounding of aseptic products such as cytotoxic chemotherapy, special delivery systems and clinical trials

To work closely with the Quality Assurance Unit to ensure compliance with GMP and maintain standards

To undertake day to day housekeeping tasks and other basic duties

Qualifications

Good working knowledge of aseptic services or willingness to learn

Ability to work in a busy aseptic unit
