Performance Manager (IED) - Wargrave, Berkshire

Contract: Permanent. Salary up to £40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. We are looking for a Performance Manager to join Thames Water permanently. This is an important front-line role within Waste Treatment, focused on performance management. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations and improvement of various sewage treatment works in the Wargrave area, through effective leadership, resource management and continuous improvement. You will cover the Wargrave Area.Responsibilities
Manage and lead your team in accordance with company policies, ensuring the competence of individuals through coaching and training to maximise their potential.Identify, mitigate, resolve and escalate risk across the site and team.Deliver a consistent approach to asset operation and maintenance to provide a cost-efficient, robust and safe operation 24/7.Understand and articulate changes within the budget at regular performance review sessions. Ensure the budget is managed effectively in relation to HandS, compliance, people and performance.Deliver a safe service to the customer base in your area by driving a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the team.Place health and safety at the centre of all activities; implement this with your site and team.Oversee the site’s Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) permit compliance and liaise with internal departments to optimise and achieve all permit conditions.Lead and improve stakeholder engagement, including internal departments and external stakeholders such as the Environment Agency, Local Councils, Fire Department and similar.Experience in managing teams is required; ideally, process or operational management experience with skills in budget management, health and safety, building relationships and engineering/operational maintenance experience.Demonstrate excellent people and performance management skills to support and drive a team of mixed skills and abilities.Demonstrate strong health and safety and customer-based ethics; possess excellent organisational and risk management skills.Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); good computer skills are desirable.A valid driving licence is required to travel to different sites.Benefits
