Interim People Payroll Officer Salary: £130 - £150 per day via UmbrellaLocation: Hybrid - 2 days per week on siteDuration: Immediate start to January 2027 About the Role We are currently working with an established organisation within the education sector to recruit an experienced People Payroll Officer on an interim basis. We are looking for a People Payroll Officer to join a busy People team, taking responsibility for hands-on payroll activity while also supporting across wider HR during quieter payroll periods. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced education payroll professional with iTrent experience who is looking to broaden their HR knowledge and develop into a wider People role. Key Responsibilities Administer the educational payroll using iTrent, ensuring accurate and timely pay runs. Support the team with upcoming parallel payroll runs. Manage day-to-day payroll administration, including checking and resolving queries. Ensure payroll information is accurate and processed within required deadlines. Support employees and stakeholders with payroll-related queries. During quieter payroll periods, provide support across wider HR and People activities. Assist with general HR administration and employee lifecycle processes. Work closely with the wider People team to ensure a smooth and effective service.
