Payroll Officer
Our local authority client based in South London are urgently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer. £23.51 an hour PAYE Hybrid working - 2 to 3 day on site a week Job Description To assist in all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of a comprehensive and efficient payroll service, ensuring that all staff are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and Council policies. To act as a first-line point of contact for the full range of clients, including employees, Council departments, schools and external organisations. To provide specialist advice on matters relating to payroll administration, regulations and associated policies. To actively respond to and resolve payroll service desk enquiries within agreed performance targets. Responsibilities Payroll Service Delivery Assist line management in ensuring the timely, efficient and effective delivery of the payroll service, ensuring that performance targets are met. Support the ongoing development of the payroll service to achieve measurable efficiencies and enhance service delivery, client expectations and customer experience.
