Pensions lawyers NQ – 2 & 3+ years’ PQE LONDON

Overview
Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two Pensions lawyers – one with 0 to 2 years’ PQE and the other with 3 or more years’ PQE. The team is one of the largest and most experienced pure Pensions teams in the UK, covering a broad variety of work and collaborating with pensions, tax, investment and employment colleagues across their international network. Clients include pension fund trustees and sponsoring employers, and, unusually, those responsible for managing local government pension funds. The team advises on ongoing pensions schemes, and those entering their end game (typically buy-ins/outs for defined benefit schemes and bulk transfer for defined contribution schemes), and increasingly on master trusts and other new pension arrangements.The team has the support of three dedicated professional support lawyers and participates in industry bodies such as the Association of Pensions Lawyers (APL) and the Society of Pensions Professionals (SPP). Junior lawyers are provided with a wide variety of training opportunities (internal and external) and are fully supported in their professional development with active supervision and significant levels of client contact.Responsibilities
Work with well-respected Partners in a friendly team that encourages skills development and growth, exposed to a broad range of high-quality work with extensive opportunities for client contact.Assist with pensions work including ongoing schemes and those entering end games (buy-ins/outs for DB schemes; bulk transfers for DC schemes) and increasingly master trusts and other new pension arrangements.Collaborate with colleagues across pensions, tax, investment and employment, and engage with an international network as required.Contribute to training and professional development with supervision and active client exposure.Qualifications
