Overview

Private practice law firm in London which is well-regarded for the work it does in Education law is looking to recruit two Education Regulatory/Compliance lawyers – one of 0 to 1 and the other of 3 or more years’ PQE. This firm has a specialist Regulatory and Compliance team which guides Education clients through their regulatory frameworks and helps to manage the legal challenges that they face. Much of their work is driven by legal and political developments which makes for a constantly evolving and dynamic practice.Responsibilities

Assist in advising on admissions and exclusions (including appeals), managing student behaviour and disciplinary issues, safeguarding, special educational needs (SEN) and equality matters, handling complaints and claims (including tribunal work), and guiding schools through inspections and regulatory compliance.Provide critical incident management and reputation protection services for independent schools.Support the team lead for independent school practice in delivering timely, accurate legal advice across Education regulatory and compliance matters.Qualifications

For the role with 0 to 1 year PQE: newly qualified or with limited experience in Education or Regulatory law; familiarity with issues such as fee disputes, parental complaints, and safeguarding obligations specific to the independent sector would be of interest.For the 3+ years PQE role: experienced Education lawyer with experience in parent and student matters and compliance with regulatory frameworks specific to independent schools; broad expertise across both contentious and non-contentious work; experience advising independent schools, school groups, and governing bodies on a wide range of legal issues.For both roles: candidates who have undertaken a seat in Education or Regulatory law (any sector) will be considered if they show a strong interest in the Education ..... full job details .....
