WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE WE RECRUITING FOR?

We are expanding our network of PE Teachers for future daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and longer-term teaching assignments across South Birmingham.

Depending on the school and assignment, responsibilities may include:

- Delivering practical Physical Education lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teaching a variety of sports, games, fitness activities and physical skills.
- Delivering girls'' PE lessons and promoting positive participation.
- Supporting GCSE PE theory and practical components where appropriate.
- Managing behaviour confidently in sports halls, changing areas and outdoor environments.
- Maintaining appropriate health and safety standards during physical activities.
- Adapting lessons for pupils with different abilities and additional learning needs.
- Supporting extracurricular sport and wider school activities where required.

Longer-term assignments may include planning, marking, assessment and additional PE department responsibilities.

These are prospective opportunities across local secondary schools rather than a confirmed vacancy at one specific school.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are interested in teachers who have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Experience delivering Physical Education within a secondary school.
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 PE curriculum.
- Experience teaching girls'' PE and encouraging positive participation.
- Effective behaviour management and clear expectations during practical lessons.
- Confidence adapting activities for mixed-ability groups, including SEND pupils.
- A professional, reliable and adaptable approach.

Applications are welcomed from experienced PE Teachers and Early Career Teachers.

Experience delivering GCSE PE would be particularly valuable for relevant assignments.
