PCB Layout Engineer

Location: Stevenage (2-3 days per week onsite)Duration: 6 month initial contractRate: 60ph UMB (Inside IR35) Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain UK SC Clearance. Role details: Our client, operating within the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join their team in Stevenage on a contract basis. This role requires strong expertise in PCB design and layout, contributing to critical projects with high reliability standards. Key Responsibilities:Providing full PCB design layouts based on electronic, mechanical, and environmental requirementsManaging library services, technical support, component placement, signal routing, and peer reviewsCreating final documentation ensuring compliance with design constraints and prevailing design rulesCollaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on timeEnsuring the final hardware meets project deliverables and design requirementsAdhering to company-specific design rules and processes throughout project executionJob Requirements:Thorough knowledge and experience in PCB design processes and best practicesUnderstanding of IPC standards for high reliability productsExperience with PCB fabrication processes and technologies, including materials and stack-upsStrong communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholdersPreferably, familiarity with Zuken CR5000 or CR8000Security Clearance (SC) required to startAbility to work both on-site (2-3 days ..... full job details .....
