This is an excellent opportunity to join a complex, multi-entity business in a key leadership role, overseeing the delivery of payroll services across a large and diverse workforce.Reporting into the Head of Payroll, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, leading a team of payroll professionals while ensuring the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on technical expertise and offers the opportunity to contribute to business transformation, systems development and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the successful delivery of multiple weekly and monthly payrolls across a complex organisational structure.Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, statutory reporting requirements and HMRC regulations.Review and reconcile FPS submissions and payroll data.Apply knowledge of IR35 legislation and support status determination processes.Manage, mentor and develop a team of Payroll Seniors and Advisors.Build strong working relationships with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders.Drive process improvements, controls and efficiencies across the payroll function.Support payroll-related projects, acquisitions, integrations and organisational change initiatives.Provide hands-on support during key payroll periods and team absences. ..... full job details .....
