Our aim is to make the financial processes of starting, running and selling a business in the UK easier.We market ourselves as an accountancy firm for start-ups but we are also technology company at heart, building our own systems in Accounting, Payroll and HR software we are developing to radically reduce the cost of servicing clients.We’re looking for a

team member to join us and report directly into our

CEO .What we’re looking for in you:You need to have attention to detail, an ownership mindset and a bias for action.At least 3 years of experience working in Payroll. We are open to 1-2 years of experience and some role in a managerial capacity as well.You need to really enjoy getting stuck in and learning new things.You need to have at least 1 year of experience using Brightpay, but experience with other payroll softwares would be a positive.Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Working to continuously improve our operations processes.Processing monthly payroll for 200-400 clients.Documenting and scoping the work done with the accounting team to support our Software Engineering team in developing automation solutions.We are a small, rapidly growing team of 35 people at the moment. Our first venture together was SenecaLearning.com, which scaled to 15M users and a successful acquisition in 2022.Novabook was born out of our personal experiences with the shortcomings of traditional accountancy practices while running Seneca. After dealing with inefficient software and unreliable accountancies for 8 years, we believe it''s time to tackle these challenges head-on.Although we’re just starting out we have closed a £4M pre-seed funding round and have close to 200 clients across tech startups, agencies, Shopify stores, and a venture capital firm. We are on a mission to build great software while making turnover from day 0 using existing solutions. We have already proven many key hypotheses and are on a journey to building one of the UK’s largest software businesses.
