Manpower are currently recruiting for a Payroll Clerk andamp; Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client. The Role

As a Payroll Clerk andamp; Accounts Assistant, you''ll be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, whilst also providing support across the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records
  • Check timesheets, holiday records, sickness absence and payroll data
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • Assist with pension administration and payroll submissions
  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain payroll documentation
  • Process employee expenses
  • Process purchase and sales invoices
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with general office administration duties
  • Provide additional support to the finance team as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous payroll experience (essential)
  • Experience within an accounts or bookkeeping environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and confidentiality requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications
  • Experience using Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A professional, positive and team-focused attitude
