Payroll Assistant (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Payroll Assistant to join A busy Accounts team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on payroll experience who is confident using Sage 50 and enjoys working in a structured, deadline-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time using Sage 50Managing starters, leavers, and changes to employee recordsCalculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and holiday payEnsuring compliance with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissionsHandling payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely mannerSupporting pension administration, including auto-enrolmentAssisting with payroll reporting and reconciliationsProviding general support to the Accounts team as requiredAbout YouPrevious experience in a payroll or accounts roleStrong working knowledge of Sage 50 (Desired)Good understanding of UK payroll legislationHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlinesConfident communicator with a professional approachComfortable working independently and as part of a teamWhat We OfferA friendly and supportive Accounts teamFull-time hours with a 12-month fixed-term contractOpportunity to build on payroll and accounts experiencehybrid working 51061FOINDPAYPortfolio Payroll Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. ..... full job details .....
