Are you an experienced Pastoral Officer, Behaviour Mentor or School Support Professional looking for an immediate opportunity in Rochester?

We are working with a secondary school in Rochester who are looking for a confident and proactive Pastoral Officer to join their team on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.

The Role

You will work closely with the school’s pastoral and behaviour teams to support students throughout the school day. Responsibilities will include:

• Responding to pastoral and behaviour calls across the school

• Supporting students with behaviour, attendance and wellbeing

• Dealing confidently with challenging situations

• Working closely with teaching, pastoral and senior staff

• Recording incidents and updates accurately on the school’s systems

• Supporting students to successfully return to lessons

• Building positive and professional relationships with students

• Providing general pastoral and administrative support where required

Requirements

• Previous school-based pastoral, behaviour or student support experience is highly desirable

• Confident managing challenging behaviour

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Comfortable using school systems and recording information accurately

• Available to start ASAP

• You MUST have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people and can provide a calm, consistent and supportive presence within a busy secondary school.
