Francesca's Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Parts Manager to lead a busy Parts Department within an established engineering business in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, proactive and hands-on Parts Manager with strong operational knowledge, leadership skills and a customer-focused approach. The successful Parts Manager will oversee a team of 4-6 staff, manage day-to-day parts operations and support the continued growth and efficiency of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 4-6 Parts Department staff.
• Oversee procurement, stock control, inventory accuracy and parts distribution.
• Manage quotations, orders, returns, invoicing and customer relationships.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support warehouse operations, including packing goods and forklift duties where required.
• Maintain pricing, promotions and online activity.
• Identify obsolete stock and contribute to business development and parts sales growth.
• Ensure the Parts Department operates efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Parts Manager, Parts Supervisor, Aftersales Manager, Parts Team Leader, Parts Controller, or within a similar parts management role.
• Strong background in spare parts, aftermarket operations, inventory management, technical product support, or parts distribution.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams of approximately 4-6 employees.
• Experience within the engineering, construction, automotive, plant, machinery, HGV, agricultural, or related sectors.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organisational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and hands-on management style.
• Willingness to support operational activities when required.

Desirable Experience

• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Experience managing parts sales and department profitability.
• LinkedIn promotional content experience.
• 10+ years' management experience.
• Experience implementing stock control and inventory improvement initiatives.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £42,000 per annum (non-negotiable)
• Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm | Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
• Annual Leave: 31 days including Bank Holidays
• Pension: Available following successful completion of probation
