Part-time Bookkeeper (school hours)

Part-Time Bookkeeper School hours Love tidy books, balanced accounts and making every penny add up? Join a friendly, growing Hertford business in a flexible, office-based role that fits brilliantly around school hours (ideally 20-25 hours, 5 days per week). We need a confident, hands-on bookkeeper who can hit the ground running and keep our day-to-day finances in brilliant shape. You ll own the detail, keep deadlines moving and make sure the numbers are always clear, accurate and ready to go. What you ll be doing: Keep financial records and ledgers accurate and up to date Process sales and purchase invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements Support month-end and year-end accounts preparation Maintain petty cash records and liaise with external accountants and HMRC when required Help ensure compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations Prepare management accounts, or maintain the books through to managementaccount stage would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given You ll be a great match if you bring: Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in a similar hands-on role Good knowledge of UK bookkeeping and VAT requirements Experience with Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent numerical ..... full job details .....
