PA to Headteacher – Secondary School, Southwark

£20 per hour | Full-time | Term time plus 2 weeks | Long-term or permanent opportunity

An ambitious and creative secondary school in Southwark is looking for a committed and capable Personal Assistant to the Headteacher. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a school with a strong sense of community and to provide key support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team.

Duties of the Role:

• Act as the first point of contact for the Headteacher, managing calls, correspondence and visitors with professionalism

• Maintain and coordinate the Headteacher’s diary, scheduling and prioritising effectively

• Prepare meeting papers, draft communications, and provide accurate minutes for senior leadership and governor meetings

• Liaise with local authority representatives, governors and external organisations as required

• Support with school-wide projects, reports and policy updates

The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a UK school, ideally in a PA or administrative role

• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

• Strong IT proficiency and attention to detail in all written work

• The ability to work independently and maintain absolute confidentiality

• A positive and proactive approach to supporting leadership in a busy school environment
