Specialist 1:1 Outreach Tutor - Coventry

As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in a pupil''s education while promoting engagement, confidence and attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher seeking to deliver personalised learning outside of a mainstream classroom.

We are seeking a tutor with experience teaching Year 5 KS2 English, together with specialist knowledge of Makaton, British Sign Language (BSL), supporting hearing-impaired pupils, and working with pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and support positive learning outcomes.

Contract/Position Details:

• Location - Within the community or pupil''s home in Coventry

• Position - 1:1 Outreach Tutor

• Type of work - Contract

• Start date - ASAP

• Duration - Until the pupil reintegrates into a school placement

• End date (if applicable) - Ongoing

• Contract type - Temporary

• Full-time/Part-time - Part-time (15 hours per week, per pupil)

• Minimum rate of pay - -22+ per hour

• Hours - Flexible, based on the family''s availability

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• QTS or equivalent

• UK classroom teaching experience

• Experience teaching Year 5 KS2 English

• Experience using Makaton and/or BSL

• Experience supporting hearing-impaired and EAL pupils

• Experience working with SEND or disengaged learners

• A creative, patient and adaptable approach

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one

• Provide two professional child-related references
