Position: Operations Manager

Location: Yeadon, Leeds (covering projects from Manchester to Newcastle)

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to oversee multiple construction projects across the North of England. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and in line with company expectations.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact across a portfolio of projects, managing relationships with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and senior management whilst maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage between 2-10 live projects simultaneously.
• Act as the main point of contact for all operational project matters.
• Monitor project progress, programme, performance, and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site visits, attending projects at least one day per week.
• Prepare and deliver detailed weekly progress reports to the Director.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, within budget, and to programme.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Identify and resolve operational issues before they impact delivery.
• Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders.
• Implement and promote company processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Support company growth by maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or similar senior construction management role.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong background within fast-paced construction environments.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and "spinning multiple plates" at once.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt and embrace the company''s culture and way of working.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ideally based within commuting distance of Yeadon, Leeds.
