We are seeking an energetic contributor to manage and develop our Central, Eastern and Highlands regions in grounds maintenance and winter services and projects. You will have full responsibility for day-to-day operations within your operating regions, leading grounds maintenance teams and Contracts Managers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Agile, flexible working is critical to the success of the Landscapes business and supports an operating model that accommodates seasonal peaks and out-of-hours customer support. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead your teams to deliver the highest standards of performance.

Responsibilities

Constantly strive to improve efficiency and utilisation of resources.

Maximise operational and financial performance to achieve or exceed budgets.

Manage and develop a professional and effective operational team.

Ensure the highest levels of commitment, awareness and results on QHSE issues.

Uphold strong people management and development.

Demonstrate excellent customer service and represent Mitie effectively at internal and external meetings.

What We Are Looking For

Experience in the horticultural/landscaping industry.

Previous management experience is required.

Ability to undertake budget setting and demonstrate financial management.

Excellent understanding of operational IT systems.

Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems and safe work practices.

Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively.

Willingness to learn new skills as part of professional development; leads by example.
