Operations Administrator

Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking to build a career within transport and logistics? We are recruiting for an Operations Administrator to join a busy and growing transport team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with customers and drivers, and being at the heart of a busy operation. The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop into a key member of the transport department.

Duties include:

• Supporting Transport Managers with day-to-day operations
• Acting as a first point of contact for drivers, customers, and depot colleagues
• Managing customer and operational enquiries via telephone and email
• Monitoring shared inboxes and ensuring queries are resolved promptly
• Handling reception duties, including answering calls and welcoming visitors
• Building strong working relationships with customers and drivers
• Providing administrative support across the transport department
• Learning all aspects of the transport operation to provide cover and support where required

What We Are Looking For:

• Previous administration experience (previous experience within Transport, Logistics, Fleet Management, or Vehicle Operations would be an advantage but not essential)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident using Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• A positive, flexible, and team-focused attitude
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the business
