Position: Export Operator - Ocean FreightLocation: StockportSalary: £32,000 - £35,000 DOEOur client, a well-established international freight forwarding business are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Export Operator to join their Manchester operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage ocean export shipments from booking through to completion within a cradle-to-grave operationCoordinate shipments with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, and suppliersHandle all operational documentation and shipping processesMonitor shipment progress and provide regular customer updatesArrange and process customs requirements where requiredMaintain responsibility for job file profitability and revenue generationEnsure accurate job costing and PandL managementBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and overseas partnersResolve operational issues efficiently and proactivelyEnsure all shipments are handled in line with company procedures and industry regulationsRequirementsMinimum 2 years'' experience within Ocean Freight Export operations - EssentialExperience using CargoWise would be beneficial but is not essentialCustoms experience would be advantageous, although training can be providedExperience managing export shipments from start to finishGood understanding of ocean freight documentation and shipping proceduresStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneouslyCommercial awareness and understanding of ..... full job details .....
