Occupational Therapist

Location: Ceredigion, Wales
Pay Rate: -42.63 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Community Occupational Therapy Team in Ceredigion. You will provide high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy to adults and older people, helping to maximise independence, safety and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex caseload independently.

• Undertake functional, manual handling and risk assessments.

• Assess and recommend specialist equipment and housing adaptations.

• Develop person-centred intervention and care plans.

• Provide advice and support to individuals, families and carers.

• Work collaboratively with health, social care and other partner agencies.

• Supervise and delegate to Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and volunteers.

• Maintain accurate records and prepare professional reports.

• Support safeguarding and manage risks appropriately during community visits.

• Participate in duty rotas, supervision, training and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

• Experience in community occupational therapy, particularly with adults and older people.

• Knowledge of specialist equipment, housing adaptations and manual handling.

• Ability to manage a complex caseload and work autonomously.

• Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.

• Commitment to person-centred practice, safeguarding and continuous professional development.

• Ability to undertake community visits and work flexibly.
