Nursing Assistant - Nutrition Support

Job Opportunity: Nutrition Assistant in Emergency DepartmentAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Specialist Care Hospital, Cramlington, in the Emergency Department. As a Nutrition Assistant, your main duties will include:

Assisting qualified nursing staff in promoting and providing nutritional support for patients, including helping with meals and encouraging nutritional snacks.

Ensuring patients receive appropriate nutrition, meeting dietary preferences, and assisting with feeding when necessary.

Maintaining updated records of nutritional support provided and required.

Monitoring stock levels of nutritional supplements and snacks, and ordering supplies to ensure availability.

Upholding high standards of nutritional care for patients.

The duties outlined are general nutritional responsibilities as directed by the Ward Manager, Sister, Charge Nurse, or Nurse in charge.

We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic Nutritional Assistant eager to work within our Emergency Department, supporting patients with their nutritional needs. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a proactive team in a busy, dynamic environment, possess a caring and friendly manner, and be flexible.
