OverviewNursery Educator required for a leading group of independent Montessori nurseries and preschools in West London.
Salary Offered – £25,000 to £26,500 + Benefits
Hours – Full time 40 hours per week with rotating early and late shifts between 7.30am and 6.30pm.
Location – Acton W3, 2 minute walk from South Acton Station
Responsibilities
Provide high quality care and activities for the children in a secure, safe and stimulating environment, recognising individual and group needs.
Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and other appropriate guidance in line with nursery policy.
Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements, ensuring progression and continuity with the EYFS.
Ensure that no child is ever left alone in the room, nursery, or during outings.
Understand and participate in the key person system; maintain up-to-date learning journeys/profiles for your key children.
Work in partnership with parents/carers and encourage parental involvement in the nursery.
Assist and attend parents’ meetings and open days.
Help maintain the safety and security of all children, employees, and visitors.
Assist with regular health and safety assessments and ensure procedures are followed.
Ensure the cleanliness of children and their surroundings at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
Level 3 or Level 2 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
QTS, Montessori or L3 Forest School qualification is a plus and may lead to an increased salary.
Good knowledge of the EYFS.
Experience in a nursery setting.
First Aid training preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
