The Role:

Join a thriving nursery teams dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. As a valued Nursery Manager you''ll support children aged 0-5 years, planning exciting activities, promoting learning through play, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued. The salary is around -35k per year based on 35-40 hours per week.

Key Skills/job duties:

  • Leadership & Management:
    • Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery''s day-to-day operations.
    • Lead, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality nursery staff.
  • Childcare & Education:
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years.
    • Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
    • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes children''s learning and development.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure the nursery meets all legal and statutory requirements for health, safety, and child protection.
    • Implement and enforce robust safeguarding procedures and policies.
    • Oversee fire drills and ensure all emergency procedures are in place and followed.
  • Administrative & Financial Duties:
    • Manage nursery budgets and monitor financial forecasting.
    • Keep accurate records and create regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Oversee the ordering and maintenance of nursery resources and equipment.
  • Parent & Community Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers.
    • Communicate children''s progress and provide support to families.
    • Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other professionals.
  • Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce qualification.
  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
