As a Nursery Assistant in Furzedown, you will join a flexible supply pool, choosing shifts that suit your schedule while gaining varied experience across local settings. This temporary role, paying £12.71 per hour, involves supporting play-based learning, supervising children, and assisting with routine care in baby, toddler, and preschool rooms. Work is offered ad-hoc or short-term, with potential for longer placements. We seek practitioners with a solid grasp of safeguarding and child development, holding a Level 2 qualification or possessing at least six months of nursery experience. About the role:
- Flexible supply work across nurseries and early years rooms
- Work offered on an ad-hoc or short-term basis, depending on your availability (can also lead to longer term roles)
- Support across baby, toddler and preschool rooms as needed
- General support duties including play-based learning, supervision, routine care and working as part of a team
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development and age-appropriate practice
- Level 2, Early Years qualification is highly desirable or a minimum of 6 months experience within a nursery setting
- Ability to adapt quickly to different routines and environments
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service
