Occasional Saturday work and some weekday evenings until 8pm are required.Pay rate will depend on prior relevant experience.Main duties of the job

Venepuncture (checking request forms, patient ID, equipment, drawing blood, labelling bottles, checking venepuncture site)Blood pressure, height and weight measurementsSmoking status checksUrinalysis and processing samplesAssisting with contraceptive coil fittingsCompleting NHS Health ChecksActing as a chaperone for patients when requiredSupporting chronic disease management: assisting with annual checks for patients with diabetes, hypertension, and CHD, including diabetic foot checksSeasonal flu vaccinationsMaintaining confidentiality of patient records and clinical mattersPromoting effective communication within the teamParticipating in clinical supervisionUsing the IT system (EMIS Web) accurately and consistentlyContributing to practice audits and service reviewsKeeping up with mandatory trainingAttending staff meetings and training sessionsEncouraging self-care and self-management of conditions through health promotionWorking within practice policies and guidelines, e.g., Infection Control and ChaperoningPotential development opportunities in spirometry and wound managementAbout us
