Network Engineer

Job title: Network Engineer - SONiC / Advanced Networking Day rate: £400-450 per day - Outside IR35 / Limited Company Start date: Immediate Duration: TBC - multiple projects Location: Fully remote OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to provide specialist network engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud), advanced networking technologies and BGP routing. Experience with Celestica SONiC is highly desirable; however, candidates with experience of other enterprise or community SONiC distributions will also be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and support SONiC based networking environmentsTroubleshoot and optimise Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructureConfigure and support BGP routingSupport Software VPN implementationsDiagnose and resolve network issues in a fast-paced project environmentEssential SkillsHands-on experience with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud)Strong understanding of advanced networking principlesProven experience configuring and troubleshooting BGPExperience with Software VPN technologiesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervisionDesirable SkillsExperience with Celestica SONiCExperience with Dell Enterprise SONiC or other enterprise/community SONiC distributionsLinux networkingEVPN/VXLANFRRouting (FRR)Experience with white-box switching platformsData centre networking ..... full job details .....
