The Role
A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ practical performance skills, musical knowledge, creativity, and appreciation of a wide range of musical genres and traditions. You will inspire students to explore music through performance, composition, listening, and analysis, while supporting those studying the subject at GCSE level.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident expressing themselves through music. There may also be opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities, performances, concerts, and wider enrichment programmes.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification); ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Have experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical aspects of the Music curriculum
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and engagement
  • Have a passion for music education and inspiring young people through the arts
