The Role
A secondary school in Sandwell is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its Performing Arts department from September 2026 on a full-time supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' practical performance, composition, listening, and appraisal skills. You will inspire students to explore a wide range of musical styles and genres while supporting them in developing the knowledge and confidence required for success in GCSE Music.
Working within a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where creativity and musical expression can flourish. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to concerts, performances, school productions, and extracurricular music activities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification; ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Have experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical elements of the Music curriculum
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a genuine passion for music education and inspiring young people through the performing arts
