The Role

We are looking for a Part-Time Teacher of GCSE Music who will:

• Deliver outstanding GCSE Music lessons that challenge, engage, and inspire our students'' theoretical understanding, practical skills, and creative output.
• Guide students in developing strong musical literacy, analytical insight, and sophisticated performance/compositional techniques as required by the GCSE syllabus.
• Provide comprehensive academic support, helping students to achieve their best in examinations.
• Contribute to the lively extracurricular music programme, enriching students'' experiences beyond the classroom through ensemble leadership, concert organisation, or workshops, as appropriate for your hours.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music Department and across the school.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and encouraged to achieve their best.

Candidate Profile

• A strong degree in Music or a related musical discipline.
• Demonstrable experience teaching GCSE Music to a high standard in the UK is essential.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not mandatory; candidates with extensive UK teaching experience in independent or grammar schools are strongly encouraged to apply.
• An outstanding communicator with the ability to explain complex musical concepts clearly and enthusiastically.
