iSQ Recruitment is supporting a leading manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire with the search for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in CNC machinery to take ownership of machine reliability, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities within a highly automated precision manufacturing environment.
Working closely with production and engineering teams, you''ll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment performance and supporting the long-term reliability of critical machining assets.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on CNC machining equipment
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across a range of production machinery
- Support machine reliability initiatives and equipment improvement projects
- Investigate recurring equipment issues and implement long-term corrective actions
- Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance
- Assist with maintenance planning, asset management and critical spare strategies
- Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, efficiency and reliability
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers and specialist service providers when required
- Contribute to a proactive maintenance culture across the manufacturing operation
- Support operator training and maintenance best practices where appropriate

- Previous experience maintaining CNC machining equipment within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with multi-axis machining centres
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas or similar CNC control systems
- Knowledge of reliability improvement, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement techniques
- Experience with PLC diagnostics and fault investigation
- Exposure to TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or 5S methodologies
- Experience supporting precision engineering, aerospace, medical device or advanced manufacturing environments
