iSQ Recruitment is supporting a leading manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire with the search for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
  
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in CNC machinery to take ownership of machine reliability, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities within a highly automated precision manufacturing environment.
  
Working closely with production and engineering teams, you''ll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment performance and supporting the long-term reliability of critical machining assets.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on CNC machining equipment
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across a range of production machinery
• Support machine reliability initiatives and equipment improvement projects
• Investigate recurring equipment issues and implement long-term corrective actions
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance
• Assist with maintenance planning, asset management and critical spare strategies
• Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, efficiency and reliability
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers and specialist service providers when required
• Contribute to a proactive maintenance culture across the manufacturing operation
• Support operator training and maintenance best practices where appropriate

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience maintaining CNC machining equipment within a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience working with multi-axis machining centres
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas or similar CNC control systems
• Knowledge of reliability improvement, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement techniques
  

Desirable:

• Experience with PLC diagnostics and fault investigation
• Exposure to TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or 5S methodologies
• Experience supporting precision engineering, aerospace, medical device or advanced manufacturing environments
