This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to plant roots in a flexible and supportive firm.MTD VAT/IT ManagerYou will be responsible for overseeing the company''s Making Tax Digital (MTD) VAT and IT compliance by ensuring accurate MTD returns are filed, advising on VAT transactions, identifying potential process improvement opportunities, carry out root cause analysis/problem solving activities to prevent errors, maintaining relationships with HMRC authorities, and leading a team of VAT/IT specialists to streamline processes, minimise liabilities and optimise strategies across the business; essentially acting as the primary contact and escalation route on all MTD related matters within the organisation.Key responsibilities;VAT/IT compliance:Monitoring and managing all aspects of VAT/IT compliance, including accurate calculation and submission of returns.Reviewing transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment on sales and purchases.Technical expertise:Providing advice on VAT issues, including educating and training of new VAT Reg clients, inc pre-Registration expenses/home working.Processing Late Claims and Year End adjustmentsProcessing data and filing manual returns for Public Department 1 clientsAttending HMRC, Xero, Dext, Client Engager ..... full job details .....
