I''m working with an established and growing property consultancy in London that is looking to appoint an MRICS Senior Building Surveyor to join its Building Surveying team.

This is a great opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor who enjoys being hands-on with projects, working directly with clients and having plenty of variety in their workload.

As Senior Building Surveyor, you''ll manage your own instructions and work closely with clients across a varied portfolio of commercial properties.
Your responsibilities could include:

• Contract administration
• Dilapidations
• Building surveys and technical due diligence
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Reinstatement cost assessments
• Defect diagnosis and building pathology
• Refurbishment and improvement projects
• Preparing specifications and schedules of works
• Licence to Alter advice
• Client and stakeholder management
• Supporting more junior members of the team where required

The position offers a good balance between professional Building Surveying and project-led work, giving you the opportunity to maintain a broad skill set rather than becoming too specialised.

To be considered, you should:

• Be MRICS qualified
• Have strong experience within Building Surveying
• Ideally come from a consultancy or property background
• Be comfortable managing projects and instructions independently
• Have strong technical and commercial knowledge
• Be confident working directly with clients
• Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Be ambitious and keen to continue progressing professionally
