About the Role
This Mobile Plant Mechanic position in Leeds offers £19.19 per hour on a full-time contract, working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. The successful candidate will join a workshop team, servicing and repairing varied plant machinery while diagnosing mechanical faults and completing on and off-hire PDI inspections. About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to join a busy workshop team. The role involves servicing, repairing and maintaining a variety of plant and equipment, resolving mechanical issues and ensuring high standards of safety and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular plant inspections and scheduled servicing.
- Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
- Complete on and off-hire PDI inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams and management.
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices and operators.
- Respond to unforeseen mechanical issues when required.
- Level 2 VQ in Plant Maintenance and Repair.
- Experience servicing and repairing plant and equipment.
- A clean driving licence is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
