Mobile Fire Door Technician – JLLRole Purpose

We are seeking a practical, self-motivated Mobile Fire Door Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), remedial works, and installations across commercial premises throughout the south of England. The role requires coordination with approved contractors, strong technical knowledge of fire door services, professional presentation, and the ability to provide technical advice when required.Main Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out inspections, maintenance, and installation works on fire doorsPerform reactive maintenance repairs across various contractsComplete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasksProvide detailed and accurate reports for remedial works requiredUpdate on-site log books for compliance purposesComplete certificates and documentation for all worksTechnical and Administrative

Update and close completed reactive and PPM tasks on our CAFM systemAssess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasksComplete on-site Method Statements and Risk Assessments as necessaryEnsure engineering standards are maintained for maximum operational efficiencyWork to recognized industry standards at all timesClient and Safety Management

Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to at all timesFollow both client and JLL''s Health and Safety proceduresInspect service conditions and proactively address call-outs/repairsMaintain all company-issued tools in safe and working conditionLiaise and coordinate works with approved contractorsFlexibility and Development

Participate in flexible working hours and out-of-hours emergency coverAttend emergencies inside and outside normal working hoursUndertake training including health and safety courses and trade developmentAssist other trades as requiredUndertake additional duties as directed by management within role scopeEssential Qualifications and Experience

Technical RequirementsTrade background and qualifications (recognized qualification or apprenticeship)Extensive knowledge of building fabric servicesComprehensive understanding of Health and Safety regulationsAbility to work from smartphone and PDA systemsPersonal AttributesSelf-motivated with ability to work unsupervisedAbility to act on own initiativeSmart, professional appearanceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdaptable and flexible approach to work requirementsComfortable working in team environments while following instructionsAvailabilityMust be available for call-outs and emergency responseFlexible approach to working hours including evenings and weekendsWillingness to travel across the south of EnglandNote: The salary has been set to reflect the flexible working hour requirements including weekend and evening work.Location : Southall, England, United KingdomJob details
