Overview

Our client, Avison Young UK, is seeking a Facilities Management, Building Surveying and Project Management professional to manage FM services on a portfolio of national UK properties, ensure service delivery, and lead improvements in collaboration with the Avison Young Service Desk and supply chain.Responsibilities

To manage FM services (Hard FM led) on a portfolio of national (UK wide) propertiesTo adopt full accountability for FM service delivery and audit programmesTo manage the Supply Chain effectively to deliver against contracted SLA’sTo ensure 100% compliance in respect of the Contract, Health and Safety and Statutory LegislationTo drive continuous improvement in service levels and communicationTo participate in all relevant operational initiativesTo own the PPM and Reactive regimes across the allocated portfolio and delivered by the supply chain ensuring the CAFM system is kept up to date and accurate by the Avison Young Service Desk teamTo own all small works and projects applicable to the role, supporting delivery of these to meet cost, time and quality requirementsTo undertake Health and Safety compliance and general building / site inspections (at a frequency determined by the contractual requirements) and promote a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring that contractors provide the relevant information and operate to the relevant safe systems of work for all reactive, planned and ad hoc quoted worksPrepare, monitor and reconcile FM budgetsEnsure all quoted works are delivered in accordance with the contract and are fit for purpose and provide value for moneyUndertaking (selective) supplier quality audits at a frequency determined by the Account ManagerAct as a “Supplier Champion” taking ownership of specific portfolio wide Supply chain contracts to ensure contract performance is achieved, as requiredAct as site contact for contractors as requiredWork closely with the Account Manager to ensure contracts are renewed / tendered in a timely manner to ensure cost effective coverage across the portfolio for all service linesLiaise with the Avison Young Service Desk in the management and execution of daily tasks associated with fault reporting, job progress updates, job completion, reporting etcLiaise with the Avison Young Service Desk to provide updates and feedback on weekly maintenance, and other reports for your client sitesSpecify, cost and manage quoted works and small project works in line with CDM 15. Ensuing all RAMS are received are suitable and sufficient and all permits in place before any works commenceIdentify and recommend any improved methods of working practices, which may enhance quality and reduce costsEnsure compliance with Client and Avison Young’s financial controls at all times, adhering to relevant expenditure authorisation / approval processes and levelsPromote good relationships with client contacts and site personnel and project a professional image of Avison YoungWork proactively to ensure that the requisite standards for all contracts procured in the management and delivery of FM services are delivered to an appropriate standard that meets client expectationsMonitor monthly repairs and maintenance works and budget expenditure for your client sitesAssist in the development of any maintenance strategy and best practice initiativesProvide the interface between the client and internal and external service providersTo ensure availability on an ad-hoc basis to attend meetings at the discretion of the Account ManagerQualifications

5 years working experience in a Facilities Management roleFull Driving LicenceAbility to work to tight deadlines and to follow processesProblem solving abilitiesAbility to deal with high volumes of work and prioritise accordinglyExcellent communication skillsWorking knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel, CAFM and other reporting toolsAbility to work with minimal supervisionGood work ethic with an energetic approachAbility to work as part of a team and contribute in a positive manner to the overall performance of the teamFlexibility and commitment to completing the task in handEnthusiasm for progressionKnowledge / Qualification Requirements
