Metrology Engineer

Metrology Engineer required to join a market leader in the production of car components. My client is seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to support dimensional control, measurement systems, and continuous improvement within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment using CMM and GOM. Available is a competitive salary, excellent prospects and opportunity to join a business who continue to invest in their modern site in Telford.Hours of work 8.30 - 5 Mon I Fri (2pm Finish Friday)Salary £45 - 50KMetrology Engineer Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and maintain CMM (Calypso) and GOM (blue light scanning) systemsPerform dimensional analysis and support production and NPI activitiesLead measurement system validation (MSA) and dimensional reviewsApply Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and structured problem-solving techniquesAnalyse data using advanced Excel and SPC/Minitab to improve process capabilitySupport APQP/PPAP activities and ensure compliance with quality standardsDrive continuous improvement across metrology and wider operationsRequirementsExperience in a manufacturing / automotive environmentStrong understanding of GDandT and CMM programming or GOMKnowledge of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA)Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsFamiliarity with IATF 16949Excellent communication and analytical skillsDesirableDegree in Engineering or related fieldSix Sigma certificationExperience with GOM systems Ziess InspectCalypso CMMCurrent or recent ..... full job details .....
