Enstar Group .Reporting to the SVP of MandA, the MandA Senior Analyst role involves understanding key business drivers and competitive dynamics of the market, progressing targets from initial identification through to execution of transactions, undertaking and co-ordinating due diligence and valuation analysis and engaging with senior team members throughout to support transaction decisions.What you will be doing

On MandA Projects, responsibilities for supporting the entire deal lifecycle include:Research and analysis of potential acquisition targets, including financial and operational areas.Development and ownership of the financial model to forecast balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, capital distributions and ultimately investor returns. The analyst will develop sensitivity analysis to showcase key value drivers that support pricing decisions.Leading the financial due diligence workstream, including interrogation of the assets and liabilities of the target, and project managing other workstreams carried out by expert resources across actuarial, capital, investment management, claims and reinsurance, accounting and finance, IT systems, operations, tax, regulatory, HR and legal.Shows proficiency in financial modelling with reduced levels of support from senior team members.Can understand and interrogate outputs from the financial model.Assessment of key due diligence findings and impacts on risk appetite and valuation.Reporting to senior management, including the drafting of deal memos to summarise the target business, proposed transaction structure, due diligence findings, and outputs of the valuation modelling, in order to support recommendations to the group Executive.Providing ad-hoc evaluation and analysis to support the MandA team’s business development efforts.Liaising with expert teams and senior management across the Company on internal projects.Keeping abreast of developments within the run-off and wider insurance markets which may present opportunities to the Company.Staying on top of personal learning objectives set as part of a structured career development framework.Typically follows prescribed guidelines or procedures in analysing situations and resolving problems.Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.Demonstrates basic understanding of financial modelling and deal structures.Demonstrates openness to new situations. Contributes with ideas and innovative approaches to enhance work processes and procedures.Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyses possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.What you will bring

1-3 years’ experience in the insurance sectorPrior experience of MandA (1 year) including financial evaluation, diligence and modellingPrior experience of business / report writingDetailed financial and accounting knowledgeCommercial knowledge including evaluation of business and performance driversFundamental understanding on insurance/reinsurance businesses and industryDetailed knowledge of acquisition evaluation techniquesProficiency with financial modellingDriven and experienced financial professional with strong analytical and communication skills, able to manage multiple projects and present clear, concise findings to management.Attention to detail.
