About the Role
The MEP Building Services QC Leader will oversee quality assurance across commercial, residential, and mixed-use schemes up to £500 million in City of London, operating within zones 1–6. Reporting to the Head of Building Services, this permanent position focuses on identifying design, workmanship, materials, and interface risks during construction. Responsibilities include driving defect prevention through targeted control of high-risk activities, ensuring timely close-out before close-up, and feeding structured lessons learned into quality targets. Evidence-based outputs support project accountability. Candidates require substantial MEP quality leadership experience on major London projects. The role offers £130,000–£140,000 per annum plus package, with hybrid working arrangements available.
This MEP QC Leader will work on multiple commercial office, residential and mixed use construction projects up to £500million, mainly working on London centric contracts from zones 1 to 6 on the London Underground Map.
The role will focus on early identification of design, workmanship, materials and interface risks during the construction phase of multiple schemes, reporting into the Head of Building Services.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
- Drive prevention of repeat post-PC defects by providing targeted, solutions-focused Quality Control across high-risk building services activities
- Ensuring timely close-out before close-up, and feeding structured lessons learned back into the high-risk quality targets
- Project accountability through clear, evidence-based QC outputs and through working with projects, rather than policing them
- Support the business in minimising legacy period costs by identifying and addressing quality risks before project completion
- On each live project, verify whether ITPs and inspection records for Building Services are in place and being followed for critical activities
- Contribute to asset performance by supporting investigations and resolutions relating to quality issues arising during the legacy period
Depending on experiences, my client would look to pay up to £140k plus package and bonuses.
