Overview
Aspire Healthcare specialise in the provision of care to people with learning disabilities and mental health in the North East. We are currently looking to recruit support workers to work in our male only residential settings in North Tyneside. These services require experienced and motivated staff members that are willing to enable residents in the community such as attending outdoor leisure activities.Role purpose
The Support Worker''s role is to empower and support service users to rebuild their lives. The focus of the service is to provide a supportive environment for people to develop skills and strategies in order to lead a more fulfilled and independent life. You will be required to provide care and support to people in their homes according to personalised support plans to help maintain their independence and dignity.Responsibilities
A desire to work with people to achieve their goals in lifeEncourage the service users to participate in general activitiesMonitor changing needs with due regard to the dignity and privacy of the service userA commitment to teamwork and the determination to work through challengesProtect the service users from any form of abuse and report suspicionsMaintain confidentiality regarding all informationBe involved in all aspects of care for the individualParticipate in all household duties as requiredThe flexibility to work shifts that cover days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nightsEqual opportunity
