Title: Medical Records Clerk

Hourly rate: -12.33ph

Contract length: 3 months

Location: Darlington, DL1

Shift: 8am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break (Monday to Friday)

Hours per Week: 37.5

Role overview:

Performs administrative tasks for patient medical records and associated documents in accordance with an established paper-based or electronic filing system.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, updating and maintaining patient medical record information in accordance with local file management practices and electronic or manual record filing systems
  • Retrieving, delivering and filing/storing patient records in line with daily schedules, emergency and special project needs
  • Reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy of required information and taking appropriate action to ensure record integrity
  • Performing additional clerical and/or administrative duties as required within the medical records department.

Requirements

  • Previous administrative or clerical experience
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable with manual handling and a role that involves physical activity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Information

  • This role will involve manual handling and requires a good level of physical fitness
  • Full training will be provided
